Barwon Health hosts National Myeloma Day event

Barwon Health is hosting a free education and support event on 18 May 2016 for people living with Myeloma.

Myeloma is a blood cancer, specifically of plasma cells – the white blood cells that create antibodies. An estimated 1,700 Australians will be diagnosed with myeloma this year.

The event is being held on National Myeloma Day and will be at the Geelong Clinical School. People with myeloma are encouraged to bring their family or friends to the event which will review new therapies that involve manipulating the immune system to treat myeloma.
